MSS and Niche Health sign exclusive agreement to bring an early Christmas present to the industry

MSS (Medical Screening Solutions) and Niche Health are delighted to announce that they have signed an exclusive agreement for MSS to use Niche Health’s iGPR™ technology. This will allow MSS to provide a managed service to the Protection Insurance industry offering a paperless, electronic General Practitioner Reporting (GPR) service.

iGPR has fast become the preferred option of gathering medical evidence from Primary Care in the life protection market.  With iGPR available to all NHS Surgeries, the largest life insurance providers in the UK are already realising the benefits of receiving structured, electronic data to support their customers.  In particular, where electronic reports have been processed using iGPR, the average turnaround time has fallen by as much as 70%.

MSS have an exceptional history liaising with Primary Care on behalf of insurers; removing the operational burden of GPR query handling, payment processing and organising and administering medical examination appointments.

With iGPR now part of their offering, MSS will provide an easy method for Insurers still using traditional paper processes to get started with electronic reporting and enable them to benefit from a structured data report, reduced costs and improved turnaround times.

Speaking about the many benefits brought by iGPR, Jonathan Benton of MSS says:

“It’s fantastic to be able to offer iGPR as part of our service.  The product is so well respected by doctors and practice managers and standardising the way evidence is provided between primary care and requesting third parties is a benefit to everyone.”

“Setting up a new technology internally can be an enormous task, but the service provided by MSS will enable Insurers of all sizes to realise the many benefits of electronic reporting immediately and without disruption.”

Guy Bridgewater, Managing Director of Niche Health talks about the impact of GDPR:

“One of the key features of developing iGPR was to improve security and compliance for GP’s when providing patient reports.  iGPR’s redaction features make the process of complying with GDPR incredibly easy for NHS staff and a much securer process than providing evidence in paper”.

MSS will begin providing iGPR in 2019.  For information and enquiries, please contact Jonathan Benton at MSS, or Guy Bridgewater at Niche Health for queries about iGPR.
